NETSUKE
Netsuke m ade by applying layered Kanshitsuban “Urushi lacquer” to silver plate. Kanshitsuban can only be applied a layer per day so a total
of one year is required to achieve the required thickness of 5mm. The kanshitsu-ban is then either engraved or polished until a gradation in
colour is achieved.
